Laura Sue Phillips @ StandPipe Gallery - "Flower Targets"

A minimalistic series of concentric circles by Laura Sue Phillips is currently on display at StandPipe Gallery.  Phillips' "Flower Targets" arrive in two channels: acrylic on plywood panel and watercolor on paper. While all the works employ the base Flower Target concept (a structure that demonstrates Phillips' talent in uncompromising precision), vivid contrasts are established between the two mediums' spatial, visual and emotional qualities. The wooden panels evoke a 1960s and 1970s hippyish vibe, whereas the watercolors pull you into an otherworldly monochromatic realm.

You have until October 8 to head over to StandPipe and check these targets out.
