Mark Wagner took a bunch of dollar bills (1,121 to be exact), cut them up (into 81,895 pieces) and made some art (making use of letterpress printing, wood and bronze sculpture, abstract painting and collage). This exhibition - "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death," on display at Pavel Zoubok Gallery - includes a 1/11 scale riff off the Statue of Liberty. There's also one piece consisting of a giant handcrafted QR code. (Spoiler alert: when scanned with your smartphone, this text message is displayed: "Needless to say.")
